Ada County will see an unusually large amount of roadwork this year –
a fact that citizens will endure for a short time to experience the
benefits of needed transportation improvements for years to come.
Why so many projects this year? Due to the receipt of more than $13
million in federal stimulus funds, ACHD is able to do more overlay
(roadway resurfacing) projects – over 50 percent more miles than in
years past. The stimulus work, combined with ACHD’s normal summer
routine of major roadway improvements and the maintenance of local
roads, makes for a lot of work occurring simultaneously.
So, how will this impact you? Below are links to all the projects
that are or will be under construction in 2010.
