The ACHD Commission adopted the Five-Year Work
Plan on February 24, setting the short-term building schedule for the
District that contains some $262 million in road, intersection and other
improvements.
The
plan outlines the concept, design and construction years for some
250 projects, programs and studies.
While the plan reflects the lowered revenue projections that
accompany the current economy, the project cost estimates have been
lowered accordingly, which allowed the construction years of a
number of projects to move ahead of the schedule adopted in last year's
plan. Other projects, because of complications, higher estimates or
other factors, had their recommended construction years fall
back.
Projects are included in the program because of community input, as
well as technical,
scheduling and prioritization analysis. It is for planning purposes only and
projects can change throughout the year.
Adopted Plan:
A note about terminology: CN stands for
"construction." PD indicates "preliminary development," a phase at which
ACHD may spend money on a project that still has no firm construction
date. UF means "unfunded" and indicates a project that may be pursued in
the future.
