John S. Franden was elected to the Commission in 2002 and re-elected in 2006.
Franden served as an administrator at Boise State University
for 20 years, retiring as executive assistant to the president. During his tenure,
Franden oversaw various university programs, including governmental affairs, the
Simplot/Micron Instructional Technology Center, KBSU radio and the Gene Harris Jazz
Festival. He lives in unincorporated Ada County near the City of Eagle and represents
District 3, northern Ada County.
