The Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) is a citizen committee
organized at the request of the ACHD Board of Commissioners, which
focuses on neighborhood related programs, processes and issues at ACHD and to provide another link between ACHD and the neighborhoods it serves. The Commission created
this special ad hoc citizen advisory committee for the specific purpose of providing input to ACHD by being both a citizens advisory group for transportation decisions
and a liaison between ACHD, municipalities, interested neighborhood associations
and other public groups. The committee may make recommendations to the Commission
on issues of concern to the neighborhoods.
Each city has at least one representative and several have three;
Ada County has a single representative. Members are nominated by their respective mayors and city councils, and the
county representative is named by the County Commissioners.
Members should be actively involved in activities in their respective neighborhoods.
They serve two-year terms and may be re-appointed for an additional term. Currently
there are 11 members on this committee.
NAC meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month except for the months of June, August and December. Meetings are held in the Auditorium of the Ada County
Highway District located at 3775 Adams Street, Garden City, Idaho and begin at 11:30
a.m.
You can contact its members through Susan Slaughter 387-6110 or
Bryan Huey in the ACHD Communications Department, 387-6147.
